Hello!

I'm new and still finding my way around this site. I am currently at 766 TU-771  EQ and I'm shooting for 800. I am currently being reported as having a total balance of 2100. on 1 card and a 600. bal on another and I paid both off today. I don't carry balances because I don't get along with Bill and so I have a tendency to lose track of him occasionally but not to the point of late or missed payments.I carry 4 cards total and I'm wondering how much these current 0 balances will increase my score..

Welcome SSP.  Good show on your credit management.  The zero balances will increase your score, but only for awhile.  You need to have some credit, even if it's minimal, to show that you are a responsible but regular credit worthy spender.   Ask me how I know.    I'd like to keep 0 balances all the time and just use my debit card, but that's not playing the FICO game.

Exactly! and thank you ;-) I prefer using my debit card as well . I know I have to use these cards here and there for the purpose that you stated. I will make very small purchases to stay in the fico game and perhaps I will see my 800 soon ;-D thanks again

Welcome SSP your well on your way!!  Those are some very impressive scores to be starting with very nice!  Maybe you and BILL should get on an auto pay schedule that away you don't even have to worry about him quite as much!  You still have to check on it every once and a while but a little more reassuring knowing it's going to be taken care of for the most part.  No need if your going pay eveything off though no balance is the way to go!!

on everything as of today. My aaoa is 9 and according to the score simulator I will be above 800! Anyone play with the simulator and was it accurate? Thanks ;-)

That should read that as of today, I have zero balances on alll of my accts.

I just hit 813 on equifax yesterday. That is my all time high score.
