Experian from annualcreditreport (TU & EQ needed to verify my identity so nothing from them) found an old collection which was paid but is still listed under "Potentially Negative" Should I call CA for DV or deletion or send a GW or just leave it alone??

First, I would determine the full credit reporting status of this paid collection account. The dates you provide only relate to the CA account.
Credit reporting dop off is not based on anything reported by the CA. It depends only upon the DOFD reported by the OC.
What is the DOFD on the original creditor account that led up to the CA?
You cant DV the CA, as the debt is now paid, and thus there is no debt to validate.
At this point, your only option would apparently be to ask the CA for a GW deletion.
If you leave it alone, knowing the DOFD on the OC account will at least let you know when the CA reporting will nauturally drop due to aging past 7 1/2 years.
