Paid Collection

I am having a paid collection in the amount of $650 from Sept '04 removed from my report. My EQ score is 650 and my EX score is 700....how much, if any, of a jump should I see in my score....ballpark. Thanks

Re: Paid Collection

Depends. What other CAs are on the reports? Are there any other baddies there as well?

Re: Paid Collection

No other CA's but I have a bunch of lates w/ the Dept of Ed. Maybe 3x 120. Pretty recent as well, about 3 months old. Trying to get those removed as well.

Re: Paid Collection

That major baddie (120 dpd) is going to hold you back, I'm afraid. I wouldn't expect too much, if any increase.

Re: Paid Collection

If you're having trouble making student loan payments, you should try going online to the dept of ed. website and file for an "economic hardship deferrment" request.  It might help.
