Paid Medical Collection from 2005

I have a paid Medical Collection from 2005, that is reporting a zero balance monthly.  Does this have an impact on my Fico score?

If they are reporting monthly, esp. if your DOLA changes each time, you're score will take a major ding each time. You may not see it because you are only comparing a one-month time frame.

Whether paid or unpaid, a $0 balance or a $10,000 balance, the damage is the same per your FICO score. Check out the Medical Debts boards and follow the HIPAA process to get it removed.

Yes I understand about a paid/unpaid collection having the same impact.  I was curious if the impact was being worsened by their reporting each month?

I am going to give the HIPAA process a try.

Thanks

This is what I thought.  Have not had a late payment or a collection in two years, but FICO was saying last one was a one month ago, and that is when I tracked it to this collection.

Thanks
