PenFed FICO score seems off ?

Does anyone know which model PenFed CU uses for FICO scoring ?

I recently opened a checking account (after years of savings with them) and got a FICO score from the mobile app.

The score seems way too high compared to my scores from Amex, Citi, Barclays, etc...

Way higher than the CK/Vantage scores...

Re: PenFed FICO score seems off ?

I believe PENFED uses EQ FICO 9 score from what I've read here. 9 is usullay higher then 8. Others will chime in.

Ignore CreditKarma/Vantage scores; they are all but worthless.

As for the PenFed FICO scores being reported, while they are kinda-sorta in the ballpark of what I would expect, none of my scores line up with the score reported on my PenFed page.  Here is what I see:

PenFed-FICO-2021-08-31.png

What is interesting about this is I have all 28 of my FICO scores from both immediately before, and immediately after 31-Aug-2021, and 716 is below any of my EQ FICO 9 scores, regardless of the before or after view.  That said, 716 is the exact Vantage 3.0 score I saw on both WalletHub and CreditKarma for the full time period between July and October.  I find myself wondering if saying they're displaying "FICO 9 from Equifax" and actually complying with that boast are two very different things.

I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

Thanks for the image posting @Horseshoez  - my mobile app doesn't say what model so I logged into my computer and it had info on what model they use!

FICO9 was 850 'til recent indiscretions.
