Hi All,
I have applied for an Auto Loan at PenFed, I am under the impression from PenFed they are using the Auto Score 9. My current auto score 9 is 707 based on MyFico.com. The problem is I am being denied for the loan due to a low score, according to PenFed, my score is 579. Which does not make any sense as none of my EQ Fico scores are below 650.
I also applied with a different Credit Union and they are pulling the same score. What could be the problem? Of couse, Equifax is no help at all...
Ok, My standard FICO 9 Score is 702 --- I am not sure why there is a huge difference in what they are seeing.
Yes, the EQ Fico 9.
Last HP from PenFed is Dec 2016 when I opened the account. I've applied for the car loan twice and have been denied each time due to a 579 score they say they are pulling (but they are not showing up on my report as an inquiry)
Yes, I purchased a copy today through MyFico, Equifax, and even bought the 3 credit from Experian to compare and all reports are identical

If you applied for a car loan recently. The pull should be 2018.
You need to call them. And make sure they are pulling a new report.
Sure, they are claiming they are pulling a new report - But its weird because when you log into your penfed account you can see you score and even this score is completely different than what they are pulling and what myfico has ... Maybe I will insist on talking to a someone in the loan dept - they have refused to transfer me to anyone in that dept so far.
