I sent a message to NFCU asking if they would update my accounts to show 0 balance sooner than 9/15 so that it reflects on my credit to up my scores so I can apply for my loan sooner. They sent me a credit card information letter showing my name, date of paid status and o balance. What do I do with that? Please help I really want to get this taken care of asap.
Thank you

They most likely sent that to you as proof when you apply for the loan as they account might not reflect $0 on-time.

But I needed them to update my credit reports but they sent this letter instead. What do I do to get the 0 balance reported sooner with this letter if you know?

They might not be able to do that as they might have to stick to the closing statement date then report to CRs after. If that's the case, then that letter is useless because when the new loan company runs your CR, it will show the balance....why do you have to do it right away? why not wait until it reports $0?

Because it won't post until 9/15. I'm under contract with a new build expected to close early October. My current house sold and if that reports before I pull my credit than it might lower my score due to the mortgage being paid off and I lose my credit mix. I want the best rate possible so wanted utilization to report 1%. I've been reading some threads and I think I'm supposed to submit that to the credit bureaus to update them but I'm not sure how to do that just yet. I'm still looking through different threads. Thanks

Why not just ask them since they sent it to you? They must have some idea since they sent you that after your request.
I replied to them but it can take a couple days for a response so thought I would ask here in the interim to see if anyone knew.

If it is expected to close, you already have a mortgage approval, correct? With a prior FICO score provided to that file when they committed to the loan?
It's already August 20, meaning that the NFCU card has got to report prior to September 20 (September 15?) in which case, if they pull another credit report, leading to the October close, the NFCU will already have updated.
I doubt you can use this paper and get a credit bureau to take it seriously, to do anything with it, prior to the end of the year.
