Re: Post app spree negative effects to EQ

+1....this is the primary reason I decided to freeze my EQ file but it seems like EQ is the go to agency for many creditors. Sigh.....

Re: Post app spree negative effects to EQ

......but, it seems that the paid collection on both TU and EX would keep my scores from increasing so nicely vs. 10 INQ on EQ with a clean report?

The paid collections are recent, about a year old....

That child support negative is actually from 11 yrs ago, but when I made my final payment a year ago, they hit me with a derogatory and closed the account.  Hadn't missed a payment in 10+ yrs.  Not so sure I missed any payments to begin with.

That's another thread.

Thanks for some of the insight....still not jiving for me though. Smiley Frustrated

Re: Post app spree negative effects to EQ

vpae - DCU membership - 1

           DCU Visa - 1

           Discover IT - 1

           US Bank Visa - 1

US Bank PLOC (premier line of credit) - 1  (the accounts were 20 days apart but couldn't/wouldn't use same pull)

           GECU Visa - 1

           GECU loan - 1

           USAA Visa - 1

           BoA Visa - 1

Harley Davidson loan - 1 - (They pulled EX too)

Phone company - 1 - (Internet service, can you believe it.  There was one for Directtv also but I asked them to remove and they did.

So that's actually 11.....Don't know if a creditor really looks at or if myFico scores a utilities inquiry.

Re: Post app spree negative effects to EQ

Oh wow, you're good!

Yeah, DirecTV and Comcast each pulled EQ for me last week. How did you get DirecTV to remove theirs?

And what area are you from? bofa and Discover pulled TU for me in NorCal.

It's interesting why your scores are this way. My lowest is TU, but that's because they're not reporting an older TL, hurting my AAoA.

The others are fairly consistent. And yeah, I think a computer would include utilities inquiry against fico scoring. This can probably be argued or overlooked by a manual review during recon thou.

Re: Post app spree negative effects to EQ

Add me the list here. EQ dropped 40-50 points and it refuses to rise up again. TU and EX are back where they were...

Re: Post app spree negative effects to EQ

Vpae - I'm in Ohio.

Discover and BoA did pulled TU this month for my CLI's that netted $7k in increases....guess it was worth the HP hits.

As far as Directtv removing the HP, I just called and bitched about it and threatened to cancel my order with them.  It was gone in a day or two.

I tried it with the phone company too, but they acted like they knew nothing about what I was telling them...transfer after transfer, hold please, transfer....I just said screw it.

Re: Post app spree negative effects to EQ

It has to be the inqs, usually it takes 6-7 to get your scores back up. With so many maybe it will take you a year. I think you should just be patient, it will rise eventually and I doubt that you will be apping any time soon. As far as your other scores, it is possible to have good scores with a paid collection. My EQ score is 765 ( it's wrong in my Siggy) and I have a paid lien that they have to remove..

Starting Score: TU 595 EX 600 EQ 585
Current Score: TU 820 EX 825 EQ 812
Goal Score: 800 Club (Mission Accomplished)

Amex Platinum, Amex BCP $17.5K, 5/3 Sig $10K, Capital One Quicksilver 15K, Walmart 10K, US Bank Cash+ 15K, Sam's Club 10K, Chase Freedom $6K, Discover More $15K, Chase United Club MileagePlus $33K, Costco $6K, CapOne Quicksilver One $7K, Cap One Quicksilver $5K, Amazon $3K, Barclays $12.5K, Home Depot $7.5K, AppleCard $6K

Re: Post app spree negative effects to EQ

My EQ is also my lowest, but with only 2 INQs on it, I don't think it's the INQs dragging it down.  I do have a fair amount of new accounts (all of my credit history is from the past year and half), so I think EQ is just not very new account friendly.  TU and EX don't seem to mind making new friends though Smiley Wink

TU: 793 (6/13/17) | EQ: 787 (7/17/17) | EX: 788 (6/15/18)

Cap1 Quicksilver, $4,750 (4/2012); Discover IT, $40,000 (10/2012); Chase Amazon Rewards, $14,600 (10/2012); AMEX Hilton HHonors, $15,000 (11/2012); AMEX Blue Cash Everyday, $15,000 (01/2013); Barclaycard Arrival+, $10,000 (07/2013); Citi Home Depot $8,000 (06/2018)

Re: Post app spree negative effects to EQ

Yea, just time will tell I guess. And definitely no more apps.  I've only opened 2 new accounts since the mega-spree in January....so I'm not so bad of a green thumb, I think.

I plan on living in a new house this time next year, which means EQ better hurry the hell up.  By then, all of these accounts will be 1.5 yrs old, I'll have an auto loan or two paid off, and should be sitting pretty good for a mortgage.

I'm pulling/paying myFico EQ about once a week...just to make sure something isn't there that shouldn't be there.
