Question about using inactive cards...

My scores just went up and I would have thought they would have went down due to small increase in utilization incurred on vacation. Nothing has aged (other than lates to 2yrs). Would this be from using two cards recently that had went inactive?

EQ gave me 7 points, and by most standards, this isn't much---except that EQ gave ME a whole seven points! LOL

Re: Question about using inactive cards...

Others here have reported realizing a bump, however modest, after using an inactive card. Inactive meaning 4-6 months.

Which is why most folks here rotate card usage.

Which is exactly why I went out and used them. Didn't amount to much---just something to show activity. I just had never thought about it till recently.

Thanks!

And sometimes the exact opposite happens.  When I used a previously-idle card, my score dropped a little, but just temporarily.  However, this card was inactive for a very long time (over 2 years, I believe).
