Question on Rapid Rescore

Does the CRA's still offer the Rapid Rescore? I am looking for a mortgage and wondering if I can ask my lender / broker to use the Rapid Rescore feature to get some of the inaccurate information removed so I can get a small boost on my scores to help me better qualify for the loan.

Re: Question on Rapid Rescore

As far as I know, they do. But you have to pay for each account that you wish rescored, for each CRA, so it can get expensive!

From what I read, I thought the fees is paid by lender or broker. My student loan is paid in full in 2/2007. On my EQ  it is showing as 120+ late all the way upto Nov 2007. On my EX it is showing as Charge Off in June 2007. I am writing the dispure letters to CRA now along with the letter from NSLP indicating it is paid in full on 2/2007. If we can get this removed do you think I might see any boost in my scores? Right now my EQ is 669 and EX is 678. If I can push them a little to get close to 700 my chances are higher for mortgage.

I have just displayed my entirety of knowledge about rapid rescore. Smiley Sad

There's probably more over on the mortgages board.

But the idea is that if you are in a situation like concorduser, where your reports look good except for one or two stubborn accounts that have not yet updated, you pay the CRA's to call the creditors and get the most current status of your account to be reported.

Ideally, you get all this stuff done before you start mortgage shopping, but sometimes life intervenes in your plans.
