Well with my tax lien gone and I think my revolving utilization pretty much as good as it's going to get (though I'm going to get to 1 revolver with small balance shortly)

I assume you've sent in some verification letters on the 2010 lates.

Heh tax lien is back and I got dropped back to 740 which pretty much confirms the 16 point swing on my file for the tax lien with lates still on there for FICO 8.

The 2010 lates are on a BOFA tradeline, when I checked into it years ago they were notoriously hard to deal with like 1/100000 on GW letters... wasn't worth my time and effort when nobody seemed to care from a UW perspective.  They'll come off similar timeline to my tax lien so I'm not trippin.

Yeah but it's easy to send a verification letter. Just simple letter to bureau asking for verification. Sometimes the verification doesn't materialize & they drop it.

I don't want the tradeline deleted (it is my oldest and will prop up my limited history for another couple of years) and I don't think having them gone would get me either of the two credit products I want right now any more than having them still on there... so isn't much rationale in my book.  I'm taking the 50% travel gig and as such my finances are going to be pretty fixed: cash influx but limited outflows that aren't reimbursed anyway.  I won't be applying for anything after I sort out the CSR (or Amex plat, /sigh Chase) and a CU chip+pin card and already PC'd my Venture to quicksilver MC so I'm pretty much set at that point until everything comes off by late 2017.

Plus this is BOFA we're talking about not some fly-by-night lender.  Just not worth poking the bear Smiley Happy.

Besides I'm hitting my 5 year forum anniversary, the recent tax lien disputes not working out in my favor have soured me on getting impatient... Soon™ is soon enough.

I wasn't aware that getting the late removed would result in getting the entire 'tradeline' removed.

I would assume when talking verification it's either one or the other: either the lender verifies the entire tradeline (it wouldn't just be the lates, it'd be the whole history) or if it falls through the cracks the CRA would just strike the tradeline.

Again it doesn't really matter in my case even though I can clearly see the 30 and 30/60 late on that tradeline are problems on my file preventing me from a high scoring bucket... and since I have the tax lien on there until around the same date anyway, why rush it?  Patience is still a good thing from a credit perspective but unfortunately I had to relearn that recently for my current situation.

Patience? What's that?

Folks have reported getting liens removed claiming the National Consumer Assistance Plan. Experian has been the most responsive. However,  Relevate mentioned reappeared.

I think the CRAs are still figuring out how to handle liens and judgements under the National Consumer Assistance Plan.

American Express: Platinum Charge, Optima, Business Gold, Delta Business Reserve, Business Cash, Business Plus
Bank of America: Alaska Air Atmos Summit Visa Infinite
Barclays: Arrival Premier WEMC (Closed)
Capital One: Savor WEMC, Venture X Visa Infinite
Chase: Freedom U Visa Signature, CSR Visa Infinite
Citibank: AAdvantage Platinum WEMC
Elan/US Bank: Fidelity Visa Signature
Credit Union: Cash Back Visa Signature
FICO 08: Score decrease between 26-41 points after auto payoff (11.01.21) FICO as of 12.24, EX: 816 / EQ: 825 / TU: 818

To be fair I didn't quote the National Consumer Assistance Plan with EX, that might've worked better.  I think it went through as a dispute and someone verified; the weird thing is it has a different court reference number than the old one but the same dates... also I now have 2 tax liens on Transunion  with different status/dates (paid vs. released) as a result of the dispute citing NCAP though TU hasn't notified me of dispute complete and they are clearly duplicates which can be sure I will be re-disputing whichever one has a later expected falloff date hah.

Hasn't gone well with my flier test heh, but I probably did something wrong.

I may try again but when I realized it was only 16 points for EX FICO 8 for me with the lates on there, which I can't feasibly get rid of unless BOFA changed their policies wholesale which I haven't read, I'll probably just wait the 9 months... nothing to use my credit on anyway once I sort out a pair of cards to support the new gig, would've been nice if it'd stayed off for the CU application and credit card but guess this is a better test for humanity with it on there.

Re: Rebucketing Question

Im not sure mentioning the NCAP would have worked any better because the CRA's representatives dont even know what that is.
