Removing AU Status

I've recently been through a breakup and removed myself as an ACM on an American Express Everyday and removed myself as an AU on a Citi card. What effect will this have on my credit score?

The accounts have extremely high utilization (way over 50%+) and are relatively new credit lines.

Re: Removing AU Status

You'll actually likely improve your FICO if the UTI is whacked. Being recent accounts they are probably also negatively affecting your AAoA as well. I don't see any negatives at all in dumping these.

Great! Do you know how fast the card issuers remove this information from your credit report?

If I remember my letter that I got when I had an AU removed, then it was 30 - 45 days (but it could have been 45 - 60 days).  TU Updated quickly - Equifax and Experian slower.
