Report changes

Im waiting for Equifax to remove a paid medical collection i disputed during the hippa process...The recieved to green card 7th of March--How soon will myfico alert me of a score change, so that I know something happened or not----This was my last and only collection on this report, and I have no other baddies at all on my report.......

I did receive a score alert 631 to 636.. It said it was possibly due to an inq made on my report(from mortgage company).....I know inq dont increase your score, but I know if this was them removing that collection I should have gotten a bigger increase than 5 points--My EX fico is 70!

Also, this was not disputed using a free report....And should call Equifax tomorrow, if nothing has happened?

Re: Report changes

OK, so really, your only real negative is the low age of your history, and of course, the new account/ seeking that goes along with short histories.

No lates, good util. So what is left to work on is negative #4, too many account with balances. Go ahead and start PIF'ing all but one of your cards online several days before the statement is due, so that they report $0. Let that last one report a small balance, and then don't forget to pay it off.

This should help some, but since it's the last negative listed, that means that the age factors are influencing your score more, and only time and patience will fix that. But reducing the number of accounts reporting balances ought to help.

Re: Report changes

Generally, SW won't alert you if a CA falls off, unless it picks up a score change. If the CA is verified, then you'll likely get alerted because the DOLA would probably change. I'd recommend using a CMS to check your EQ report daily. When it falls of, any alert would come 3 or so days later.

Don't rely solely on the reasons on the SW alerts. Both of us know that scores don't increase because of inquiries, but rather something else happened, like utilization maybe, that caused the change.

Re: Report changes

Do you have a CMS like creditchecktotal where you can pull your reports daily?

I guess you can call. I called once and they were fast to respond and friendly. I've read where others inquired about a dispute and had more time tacked on. It may take the full 45 even if you didn't call. I probably would if I didn't have access to EQ.

Re: Report changes

So I coulnt wait for results to come in mail, so i pulled my EQ to see if med ca was deleted---It was GONE!!!!

I dont get an alert about my score change, but it went from 636 -697

I dont understand why My equifax is not high  like my Exp fico, which was 720...When I last looked--

I have no baddies at all on both---My amex card from 3 months ago wasnt posted on the fico Exp when  I pulled from here but, when I went to go apply for mortgage lendor also gave me the same fico scores I had...And Im sure when he said my Exp  fico was 731 my amex card was on there by this time..

Could it be that i have a little balance on all cards right now(which will go down to 1 in a week)...But this couldnt be it because the same would apply to both credit reports showing my current balances...I just new I would be in 700s when that last collection was removed.

Re: Report changes

Congrats on losing the CA!

What is on screen 2 of your EQ report --the positives and negatives? And what is showing on your Credit-at-a-Glance screen?
