I am receiving alerts that my score is decreasing due to "total balance on all your retail trades account(s) has changed" Yes they are decreasing because I am making my payments on time. Why would this hurt me? What should I do? I need points fast I am closing in July! Thanks

Its not decreased utilization that is causing the drop something else has caused it, this was just the trigger for the update.
I was wondering the same thing, my score took a 15 point drop today with this explanation.
It's one of the confusing things about an alert-driven service like myFICO. People think that MF is in the background constantly pulling the report and computing the score -- and then when the score changes, they get an alert with an explanation of why the score changed. But that's not how it works.
The alert is caused by things like your credit card balance changing (or a few other triggers like that). When that trigger occurs, MF gives you a score along with an explanation of what the trigger was. Your score might well have change a few times for other reasons that before that trigger occured.
Some people find the alerts and the explanations more confusing and anxiety producing than helpful -- that's not the fault of MF it's just that their particular monitoring system isn't the right fit for that person.
Some people choose a credit monitoring system where they control when the scores are pulled, rather than getting the alerts. I think Credit Check Total may be like that, though I don't know for sure.
