Not all hope is lost for any of us, but MY GOODNESS! How does one get started if no one is willing to extend any credit? Im actually going to my CU today and have them tell me no to my face. Its harder than telling someone no via email. Well, at least I HOPE it is...Smiley Indifferent

Good luck today! CU's are meant for exactly this kind of situation.

Do you know if they have secured cards? If not, take out a personal (signature) loan for $1K or something and pay it off over time. You can even repay $900 immediately and drag the rest out, which would make the interest expense negligible.

The reason why those without credit are high risk is because there is no pattern of behavior to predict risk upon. It's like a new BF or GF about whom you know absolutely nothing, zippo. They could wind up being the most wonderful person in the world, or they could have a hockey mask and ropes in the trunk of the car...

LOLOL!!!! That was awesome....

They told me no to my face BTW-LOL! She said because I have nothing to go on. I was tempted to open a secured CC through them until I found out they wanted $500!!! No, I will work my OB secured card and we will proceed from there. I just REALLY wanted to go in the dealership with something concrete but plan sometimes foilSmiley Frustrated
