Score Drop...Says a possible missed payment!!!!

My score dropped from 706 to 693.  This isn't alarming to me in and of itself because I don't need any new credit as I just got a Discover More & a Chase Flexible card, refinanced my car and bought a house.  I expected my score to take a hit and get better again over time.  It is the reasons listed that has me freaked out.

Here is what my alert said:

This score decrease may be caused by these 3 new reasons:

  • You recently opened a new credit account.
  • You have a short credit history.
  • You have missed payments on your credit accounts.

I have missed NOOOOOOO payments.  Especially since they all have zero interest, and I have made payments on all the cards (PIF all except the balance transfer to Discover, paying off in 6 months)

Should I order a score report to see, or have any of you gotten this message and it hasn't been true.  I would think a missed payment & new credit w/ a balance would lower my score more than 13 points.

What should I do, it's only $10, but if it is unnessary for me to be freaking out I would love to know.

Thanks!!

the hit is likley from the new account or the INQ's-
Discover reports very quickly-

$10.95 to find out for sure.

Here's the critical phrase:

I once got an alert just like yours, except that all three reasons were the missed payment bit. I nearly had hysterics, pulled all my reports, raked customer service over the coals, you name it.

I'd really like to seem them dump this little gem. Very misleading!
