Re: Score Drop of 69 points..

It sounds to me like it's time for the OP to order a hard-copy of his credit report and go through that line by line upon arrival via snail mail.

Ok, rather than two word answers, lat us try to build an understandable credit file, shall we?

What was the score before, and after? 69 points should be the change between the two.

Is this a FICO 8 score from MyFICO or some other model within MyFICO?

Which bureau had the 69 point change?

What are the scores at the same time for the other two bureaus in FICO 8?

How many credit card accounts do you have active [ not closed ], and you get bonus points if you list them with limits and the current balance as of the last statement.

Any currently owed auto loans? Any paid off, zero balance auto loans? If so how recent?

Mortgage at this time that you are paying?

What are the list of reason codes on your latest MyFICO 3B report?

Any late payments of any kind ever in your life?

Re: Score Drop of 69 points..

I agree that it's most likely the utilization on the Lowe's card. If the reports are showing the limit of as $3300 then the utilization would be at least 60% based on the minimum payment of $36. My mom is carrying a 2k balance on her Lowe's card and her minimum payment is $25.

Re: Score Drop of 69 points..

It would be Experian and it's the Myfico 3B report. Experian dropped 69 Points and Equifax and TU each dropped 52 each Experian was previouly at 623 TU at 636 and Equifax at 619. At the moment only the one AU is open and I do have Military Star not reporting yet and also Fingerhut of all things not reporting yet. Also an AU on Home Depot $5000 limit $20 balance not reporting yet car payment has not updated in two months all paid on time no lates over the four years of the loan. Have a small loan original amount $972 which only owe $400 which has not updated in a good three months. As I said I have current auto loan paid on time for four years about 4 previously paid off auto loans over the last 10yrs never late paid on time. No mortgage have rented since divorcing in 2006.

Re: Score Drop of 69 points..

You have lates somewhere in your file. That is the only way the scores could go lower than 600 to that degree. Any utilization concerns are minor at this point and not the main driver.

Does the cardholder you were added as AU have any lates on that card, on their file? You would not have visibility to this, need to ask the cardholder.

Re: Score Drop of 69 points..

That’s fine, one account can be clean. There are lates somewhere in your mix of credit accounts. There is no way for score to go below 600 without lates.

Does the AU account have any lates?

My bet is on the AU account having a dirty file.

Re: Score Drop of 69 points..

The previous payment history is the Lowes card perfect history. And the only ever late thing was a 30 day over 9 months ago on a closed credit card.
