How much does a score usually increase when a collections account is deleted from the report? It is currently the only open collection on my report and has been settled. The CA has agreed to delete the tradeline within 30 days.
There are too many unknown factors to give you an accurate answer. It depends on your individual score card and wether you are on a clean profile or a dirty one. I know that you said it was your only open collection, but so you have any other lates, charge offs or baddies? How old is your profile? Thin or thick? All of those things factor in. I got rid of my last collection, but I'm still in a dirty scorecard. I have 6 lates that led up to the charge off and the charge off still on my report. With that being said, I got 27 points on Ex, 17 points on eq, and 52 points on TU. But it's going to vary from person to person.
I have a thick profile on a dirty scorecard. EQ has 0 collections, the other two have 3 medical collections. Difference in scores is 20-30 points.
Hi. I've read conflicting information on herr about paying collections and baddies. Can you lead me in the right direction please? I have one Capital One/Midland Financial LLC collection for $891 that I just paid a $200 payment in yesterday. They advised me I couldn't get anything in writing.
I also have a Capital One $1600 not referred to a 3rd party collector and a Khols $560 not referred to a collector.
How should I handle these accouts as far as paying them, trying to get letters, etc..
Also is there somewhere to find out hospital bill reporting I believe I have a few but nothing shows on my credit reports.
Thanks
I had a collection update to paid and gained around 5 points across all three CBs. When the collection deleted off fully , I received 15-20 points across.
