Re: Score Increase

The original loan was through hsbc there were like 16 on there as well. They sold the loans to springleaf. So springleaf corrected theirs, but told me to dispute hcbc with the bureaus. Don't see how they can verify when they don't have the account anymore.

Total number of cards and credit lines?

No. Paid in full and closed.

Overall utilization on my 3 credit cards is 2%.

3 cc, car loan, and installment loan.

Well, with your 18 yr AAoA, I'm going to guess you end up in the high 700s after all the baddies drop. say 780 is my estimate. +/- for individual CR of course, but in the range of 780.

My AAOA is 7 years. My oldest account is 18 years.

I like that! Of course, whatever it is, it is.

I'm looking more forward to having a clean credit file. The scores will go up if one continues to do the right thing.  After this 60 and 90 day lates are removed I will have just one negative account  on my report. That account has 4 30 day lates remaining. (30 day lates in 8/2008, 11/2008, 3/2009, 6/2009) So by June of next year I will have no baddies and a clean credit file. I don't believe these 30 day lates being removed will have much, if any, affect on my score.

Ok, 7 years AAoA. With these additional baddies, my estimate waits for those to be removed also, then it's time to look for something like 780.

LIke NRB my SWAG was assuming clean file.

The 30 day lates that old might not count substantially, but any derogatory could well keep you from the pretty buckets which may limit your score much lower to the tune of 750ish or below that even on a FICO 8 model, and I would expect FICO 04 to be even lower than that.

Re: Score Increase

Yeah, I agree with the other guys.

Your clean file will look a lot like my wife's file and she is in the low 800s. (800-810)

The 30 day lates will keep you in the 750 to 760 range until the very last one falls off.

Re: Score Increase

I agree with jamie123 on the lates. I have a clean profile with no lates in a 30 year credit history.

According to a CRA Fico 8 credit simulator when I input a single 30 day late on one card only- my score will drop from 850 to 765. Wow! I plan NOT to test out the accuracy of that simulation.

Pay on time and let those lates age off.

Thanks Revelate. Glad I gave you the info. on the other account. Another year and I will have a clean credit file.  I won't be rushing the year as time flies enough as it is. Smiley Happy
