Score Simulator Accurate?

My current scores are EX 681  TU 688   EQ 701

I had 21% total util and 1 maxxed out card w/these scores.

I am now at 8% total and the highest individual util is 22%, all the rest have $0 balance.  None of these payments have reported yet.

Does anyone think these changes will be enough to push me over 700 on all three when they report??  Score simulator says it should, but I just wanted some real life input.

All things being equal I think you will post all 3 over 700 on your next pull. Make sure they have posted to the reports before spending the money of course. Smiley Happy

Re: Score Simulator Accurate?

It's going to be close, but you will definitely see an increase. Just keep your balances low, and your payments on time, and before Earth complete another trip 'round Old Sol, you should see 700+ across the board.

Re: Score Simulator Accurate?

i went from 96% UTI to 7% and saw approx 40 points across the board. You'll definitely be close!

Good luck!

Re: Score Simulator Accurate?

Schnapple,

Was that on your FAKO scores or your FICO? I would have expected a higher increase on FICO scores actually, considering the nearly 90% drop in utility.

Better late than never?

That was FAKOs and EQ FICO. The increase might have been higher maybe if I had more debt. I went down from $3k debt to $300 debt.  It's not like I went down from $20k to $1000. You know?

Re: Score Simulator Accurate?

Actually FICO operates off percents and not totals in almost all cases. Thus, from 3k to 300 would be the same as from 20k to 2k. Your score went up about 70 on the only FICO score you had, which is very good. That is much closer to what I would expect than a mere 40 points.

Yes, it is percentages.

Re: Score Simulator Accurate?

Well then I got jipped on my 40 points!!

Ah well, maybe something else got factored in that I'm just not aware of.

Re: Score Simulator Accurate?

I got jipped too, I only saw a 34 point increase on my Fico's from paying util. from 97% to 3%.  I'm guessing your overall profile contributes to how many points you get.
MyFico's:
June 09: TU 591, EQ 526, EX 576
June 10: TU 647 EQ 643, EX 661
March 12: TU 700 EQ 700
