My EQ score took quite a dip with 5 new (all good) accounts. How long does it usually take to go back up? I keep utilization below 20% and use cards for everyday purchases and pay off throughout the week. I only carry balance on two cards and it is below 20%
There's really not much set in stone in terms of timelines though the conventional wisdom is it'll take on the order of six months, but it depends wildly on any changes in AAOA: a pristine clean sheet could theoretically take years to "recover" if the swing in AAOA was large enough, though that's an edge or maybe corner case for that matter.
