Can someone explain to me why my score dropped almost 50 points because I had a CL increase of 5500????

That's easy. It didn't drop because you had a credit limit increase. It dropped for some other reason.

Mine dropped about 30 points for a balance increase, yet I also had a CL increase. So it might have been a bigger score drop had there not also been the CLI.
Also had an Auto Loan close, but the new one hasn't been added yet. So I will possibly see another score drop when that reports.
There must have been other factors at play that you're not seeing.

Im checking credit karma I know they aren't very accurate, but they update weekly. The only nother change was a 51 dollar increase of my daughters student loans.
And there's the problem. CK uses the VS 3.0 model, not a FICO scoring model. Ignore the scores completely from CK and pay no mind to wild score swings. Track only your FICO scores, since those are what lenders use 99% of the time.
