No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I have been a new user for about a week. In one thread, I asked if I should pay all my cards down- which I usually do, with the exception of just one, where there is $26 left on the balance-which is not due until July 12.
Now- I got an alert yesterday, saying that my credit dropped by $22??
I have CapOne-CreditOne and First Premier,
CapOne and First Premier both have a zero balance and CreditOne equals the said $26. When do these cards report and, more importantly, when does FICO have a new monthly update? I was told that FICO is on the 20th of every month. Is this true? And, should I call the cards and ask when they report?

You would need to check with each credit card to find the statement cut off date. I called or messaged each of my credit card providers to find out when the statement cuts and due dates so I could add calendar reminders for each card. The 20th may be when your FICO scorecard updates but that would be independent of when each of your credit cards update.
For example, I signed up for Experian CreditWorks which provides my Experian score daily and all 3 bureaus update on the 18th of the month. However, 5 out of 6 cards have statement cut dates on the 5th, 6th, and 7th of each month. So, I make sure to pay all of my balances down or off by the 1st of the month so when the close, the updates from Exp and other bureaus reflect $0 balance. It's a juggling act but calendar reminders help tremendously.
