Hey Knight,
Sorry for the late response this site gives no type of notifcations had to come back and check! Anywho, so the account was paid by the insurance the gap payment is still pending however the full balance still shows up on all 3 CRA's. It looks like on monday I will be hounding the heck out of the GAP to pay off the rest ! Lol good to know your issue was resolved! Just curious was there a positive impact on your credit for having yours paid in full?

@Anonymous There are notifications but you need to subscribe to the topic. It's not done by the default user options.
Alternatively you can go into settings under Subscriptions and then Notification Settings and turn on notifications for everything you participate in but if you are a frequent member of the forum that gets tedious quickly
Hey! Just found this forum. I also was in a car accident and had my Toyota lease totaled in January. It was paid in full by insurance (I even got money back from it because it was worth more than I owed) and my account was closed with a balance but "satisfied" with Toyota. Since then, I've gotten a new lease. However I noticed in February that my FICO model 8 scores through discover, Bank of America, Barclays, AND citi all show up as serious delinquency with a 140+ point drop. I've never missed a payment in my life. I immediately had all my reports pulled and confirmed no issues on any reports. I tried calling Transunion - they were no help. They sent me my report in the mail and then refused to discuss what I was referring to because they didn't see delinquency on the report. I then called my card companies - they couldn't help either. Finally I found this forum with people similarly discussing my situation and called Toyota. They told me they can't help either and now I don't know what to do. I can see on my report that the account is closed with no issues but has a balance remaining and says early termination. How long did it take for this to get fixed for you guys? Does the balance eventually zero out? Do I call Toyota again? My score went from 780 to to 640 over night basically and I'm crushed I can't fix it.
Toyota has to fix this. It took me months of harrasing GM Financial before I finally got it fixed. Once they changed the language ( early termination- insurance loss) my credit score went up over 100 points instantly.
Your finance company is the ONLY one that can change this. Threaten legal action if you have to as they are causing you financial harm. I actually got the best response by contacting them on Facebook
Thanks for replying! What should they change it to say? Because that's exactly what my report currently states in the notes for the account. I mentioned that to them and they bounced me back and forth between agents before finally hanging up on me with no progress.
