Re: Something Remarkable Happened With My FICO Score

I have an update with some more good news. It turns out the Discover TU-8 score wasn't a fluke as I found this when I logged into my Amex account:

It might be safe to assume my EX-8 score is also at 850. But I won't know for sure until I pay to pull it. Time to update my sig scores! Smiley Very Happy

Well come to find out the EX2 cut off is actually between $31,000 and $34,900.

Is it?  How did we come to determine that range?

@Anonymous TT clued us in that his $31,000 card counted on EX2 and a $34,900 card did not.

@Anonymous  here is my remarkable scoring story

Youngest revolver reached a year.+3 on EQ and TU, +2 on EX..

So much for parroted "10-15-20" points 🤣

It's the antithesis to your "remarkable" story, but nonetheless, an amusing one

From clean, thick, mature, new account to clean, thick, mature no new account.

I have a loan that was opened in March 2020.

Re: Something Remarkable Happened With My FICO Score

@Remedios Wow that’s crazy. Your profile I guess is just in such good shape, like Cassie’s was, that there wasn’t the typical expected point change. The loan shouldn’t hold you back, it did not others. What about version 9? did you lose points?

That goes to show why we give a range and how it’s profile dependent and some profiles fall outside of that range. There definitely is no one-size-fits-all. I am curious as to the profile details which resulted in that small score change if you’re willing to share.

I recall one time when I went through that scorecard change that I didn’t get any points on EQ and I never have understood that. There may be another factor in play that we’re not aware of.

Definitely a reason we just got to figure out what it is.
