Student loans has dropped my credit score 80 points.. what can i do to prevent the student loans from continuously hurting my credit any suggestions please
What about them caused the drop? Having them? The dollar value? Delinquency? There's nowhere near enough to go on here.
Just having them is the cause they are not delinquent at all
Simply having student loans cannot drop a FICO score by 80 points.
I am assuming these are new loans? What is the current debt to original loan amount? Are they deferred? Where are you getting your scores? Do you have other types of loans? Do you have revolving credit cards? What are their limits and balances?
No,

Credit Karma
Loans are deferred
No additional loans
Credit cards yes
6300 /5900 /3200/3000/ 3200/1700600/500/500 /1150 limits
Which lender issued the $1,700,600 card? I think things are a little screwy with the formatting. 😉
Credit Karma scores are not the same as those used by the overwhelming majority of lenders, who will use a score provided by FICO. They can be very different (higher or lower). For instance, my Credit Karma scores are often 100 points lower than my FICO scores. Credit Karma doesn't think I can get a secured Credit One Card with a $100 limit. Fortunately, lenders use FICO scores.
So even with a 100% balance on a student loan, things shouldn't change very drastically. I refinanced my student loan last year and my scores fell from around 820s to 810s because of the 100% balance and new account ding.
I would grab actual FICO scores to see where you really stand. creditscorecard.com is a free Experian FICO 8 score from Discover for example.
Student loans do not dramatically affect your FICO scores if they have no lates.
My wife’s scores are @Anonymous with huge student loans (public service forgiveness program)

Who is your loan servicer?
I have been hearing reports that whatever comment/remark/status a few servicers are using to record the CARES Act deferments are treated as negative comments by scoring, but I haven't been able to confirm it.

Lender comments and remarks (such as the "Affected by natural disaster" that has been popping up on some of my accounts) are not factored into credit scoring. Any changes in scoring would be due to other factors. (Status as you mentioned could very well be one of those factors of course if it changed from Paying As Agreed to something else.)
