I would like to know of your experiences with respect to the questions below. I have tried pouring over the pages here for answers, but am still left with considerable doubt.
1) How much did your FiCO increase or decrease when going from 1 to 2 open CCs? Please specify if you had any open non-CC accounts at that time as well as your AAoA.
2) Same question as 1 for going from 2 to 3 open CCs.
3) Did opening just one CC in the last year cause the "Amount of New Credit" category to go from "Great" to "Very Good" or worse in your myFICO/ScoreWatch report? How much did it hurt the score?
4) If you had 3 open accounts, have you found it better scorewise to have exactly one out of three (1/3) report a nonzero balance compared to 2/3? If so, by how much? Please specify if all 3 accounts were CCs or some were installment, etc.
You're asking people to recollect their repressed memories, LOL it's gonna be tough. I'll give it a shot anyway
1- 5-ish points, no non-cc, AAoA: 1mo, oldest account: 2mo.
2- 1 or 2 points, no non-cc, AAoA: 4.67 mo.
3- Cant think of an answer.
4- For me, 2/3 dinged worse (maybe because 2/3 means you're carrying balance on over half of your open tradelines), around 10 points (was carrying less than 9% balance), all CC.
Thanks, Ifinet. Were 1 and 2 increases or decreases?
On 4, I agree with 2/3 being bad. IME, going from 1/3 to 2/3 even with tiny balances seems to have hurt by about 10 points.
Looking forward to more responses.

Those were increases. I'm sorry for making it look confusing
