TU +74

TU has finally update my Chase account, deleting my only late payment from January, and my TU score went up 74 points!  I went from a 595 to a 669!

GWing Chase to get them to remove my only late was an excellent move!  That one deletion alone caused me to gain 74 points on TU and 76 points on EX.  It has been a good couple of weeks.

I'm still waiting for my new and improved 8% util to start showing up.  I hope that means I will be over 700 on all three reports.

Re: TU +74

30 days.  I had just moved into my new house and I forgot to have the address on my Chase account changed.  I PIF the next month so Chase was kind enough to remove the late after I sent one GW letter.

I love seeing my scores go up and I know it is because of everyone on these forums who have given solid advice.  Thanks!!

Re: TU +74

Wow, that's a whole lot of points for a 30-day late delete. I was expecting you to say a 90+ day late. Holy guacamole batman!

I know that is a lot of points!

I wasn't expecting TU to be so generous since they usually hate me.

Re: TU +74

Congrats on the big increase!

It is amazing how much just one recent 30-day late can tank a score. In my case, I had one thirty day late from January showing on Experian. I was able to make a GW call and have the late removed. Removal of the one late from 6 months earlier took the score up 57 points. It is like the CRA God's think one late means that you are heading toward bankruptcy, foreclosure and multiple repossessions! Smiley Happy

Now if I could get Capitol One to excuse two 3-day lates from three years ago, I would be REALLY happy. Thus far, Capitol One has told me to pound sand.

Re: TU +74

Don't give up with Cap 1. I had success with them today. I got a rep who'd been through something similar but gave a little sob story and said that I'd really learned and changed and hoped to continue with them in the future. I think it helped though that I haven't been late in the last year, but I don't know.
