Not that I am complaining, but my TU FICO-8 score has jumped from 657 to 730 this morning. The only thing that is showing changed is that my Amex balance went from $173 to $0 (on the card), but my overall utilization was still all below 6% even with the balance. How can that cause this big of a jump?
Also, my Experian is not reporting this score jump, which is stuck at 669 for the last few months (it did register the balance decrease). I have compared my TU and EX reports and they have EXACTLY the same accounts reporting exactly the same way. So how can one score be 730 and one be 669? Is my Experian potentially about to jump too?
Thank you for the reply. That is what I am trying to find out. I have been in battle with a ECMC about a paid student loan final payment reporting as "late". That really hit me hard because it showed up as a recent "late" payment. They told me that they had sent another update on Feb 2 but that update was no different than what they sent previously (unless, it really was)
I looked at the payment history tab in MyFICO (screen shot below) and it still shows the same. Granted its from Feb 6th. So have things just not updated? Could this "late" really have fallen off and the UI has not caught up? If this is the case then I am over the moon. There is nothing else that explains this great of a jump. And ultimately, I need it to affect my Experian report too because that is the one I really need to fix for Amex approvals. I guess I wont find out until this MyFICO UI refreshes. I guess that happens once a month.
I dont get it!
I guess I'll check that out. Thank you for the tip. I am curious what this change is all about. And most importantly if Experian will follow eventually.
Its ECMC (federal studen loan) which reported on all 3 agencies. But its been a pain to get that fake late payment deleted. So we will see what happens. So I am assuming not all agencies update at the same time? Is it possible that Experian will update some point later this month?
