I have the FICO Ultimate 3B subscription here on the site.
Today, I receive an alert that says my TU score has decreased 57 points while my EX and EQ scores increased by a little (4 and 7 points). It stated that the increases were due to a balance change, but it didn't say what caused the decrease (just said it was updated due to info from TU). I freaked out because I'm in the process of trying secure a mortgage. So I check the TU website and see they are reporting my score to be 48 points higher than my now-lowered TU score on here.
Is myFICO trying to give me a heart attack? Which score is the accurate one? Do I need to get myFICO to change my score?

1. The MyFICO alerts relate to the information reported, but not to the attached score change. So there is not necessarily any cause and effect relationship between the balance change and the score change.
2. The score on the TU site is not a FICO score, it is a Vantage 3.0 score, which is totally different.
The only way to get to the bottom of it is to pull an updated 3B report, but you might want to wait a couple of days to make sure EQ, EX, and TU are all on the same page.

I couldn't take the suspense, so I ended up buying my TU report (even though I get a new 3B report on Thursday as part of my subscription). I know how I am, and waiting until Thursday would've been torture so the $15.95 was worth it.
My FICO 8 score actually is 2 points higher than it originally was, so that 57 point drop wasn't the case after all. My mortgage score did go down by 8 points, though. But my TU score was the highest so it doesn't matter.

Thanks for the explanation!

So I guess MyFICO is trying to give you a heart attack after all ![]()
They should stop that; you're too good a customer ![]()

Did your new 3B report reflect the balance change stated in the alert?
