Time for a Cap 1 CLI. Should I wait for the other Cap1 to report $0?

I should be able to get a CLI on my old Orchard card (now Cap 1). A rep told me that I could request that 30 days after the transition. That card currently has a $950. limit and $0. balance. It gets used but I made sure it was paid off. I'm going to see if they will match my other Cap 1 card which is $2500k.  The second card's statement just closed yesterday. Should I ask now or wait a few days until it reports a $0. balance on my CRs?  Last month's balance reported was $896. and that card had a high of $2499. during the month. Now $0.

I don't know if they will look at my accounts internally or just do a SP on my CR.

I would give it more time they are still telling people the full transition is not completed yet...YMMV

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I told a rep that I was thinking about asking for a CLI a few weeks ago but was going to hold off. She said the option was available 30 days after the transition.

I believe they were referring to the complete transition not just your card. My Dah received his card in July and it still shows as in eligible. From what he was told the transition was to be completed in October.

Re: Time for a Cap 1 CLI. Should I wait for the other Cap1 to report $0?

From what she was saying, I could have asked for one that day. I'm going to go for it. The answer is no if I don't ask Smiley Happy

But, should I wait for the other card to report 0 on my CR or it won't matter because Cap 1will see that account internally?

I guess I'm going to end up waiting. My Walmart closed yesterday. That also has a zero balance now so I'm going to wait until Monday to have a better chance for it to report too.  I'll try the love button first. Then depending on what I get, if anything, I'll give them a call. I'll be very surprised if i don't get an increase.

Waiting for BOTH to report is a no brainier IMO. what would that bring your total UT from/to? Good luck and please post results.

That depends on which CR is viewed. One of my reports shows an open account with about a $6k limit but as far as I know that isn't active. It says HSBC which I think was a Best Buy card. I haven't used that in years and was told that it was closed.  But anyway, the report that shows that card was at 31% before  the payments reported (they showed on my alert from here over the weekend) and 26% after.  Without that account, real UT was at 48% then down to 39%. That's with 2 out of 7 cards reporting balances ($3500. out of $3700. and about $1475. out of $3000.). Real UT will drop to about 15% in a few weeks.

I posted this in the credit cards section earlier -

Last night I hit the Love Button for a CLI for Cap 1 and received the 10 day notice message. I tried calling the EO office after but they are closed on the weekend. No letter in my file yet but again, it's the weekend. From other's experience, could I see an increase show up in a few days? I'm probably just going to call the EO office in the morning. They have been very helpful before.  Both of my Cap 1 accounts have been paid off in the last month (one was $2500 that month) and new charges are usually paid off monthly. I'd be surprised if my current $950. limit on the card I'd like to increase doesn't get a bump.

The card that had a $2500. balance when I paid it off reported at $896.00 last month.
