Hello,
I'm new to the credit repair world and have a question regarding my credit report.
The report is showing a "Total Past Due Amount" but I can't see who is reporting this amount as past due. I currently have 2 active credit cards and they have been current since I've opened them, but in June I did finally pay off a delinquent account that was right around this amount. The amount is paid, though, and the card is closed. Could it just be that it hasn't been reported to the credit bureau's yet? And if so, how do I get this amount cleared and can this possibly bump up my score?
Thanks so much for providing some guidance in the world of credit!
Thanks!
So now I understand something more about this creditor. It's an old account that I had to settle on and the "amount past due" is reflected the difference between the total amount due and the amount settled for. The thing is, the balance being shown on the card is still at $2700. Should this be addressed and taken off? I'm also thinking I should pay this amount to clear it from my report now? Any advice?

If you have settled the balance in full (and can prove it) and this is not your oldest OC TL file a dispute with each of the three CRB's. If you are lucky the TL will go away altogether. If you don't not have some proof that you settled the amount in full you may have a problem.
What is the reported status of the account? I should have asked that question in my first post.
The current status of the account is "Bad debt/collection" and the following is copied and pasted from the account information.
What happend was the balance got out of control, went to a collections agency, I paid it off and then settled on the amount due. The amount I "saved" on the settlement was $650 which is the amont shown as the "120 +".
Thanks again for all the help so far! This is really going to make a huge difference in my life really soon!
You can get the account corrected so it reports correctly. I would only dispute the account if you have the paperwork to prove the account was settled. Removing the amount past due and the balance (if any) will not do anything to raise your score.
