Just pulled credit score and it said score was 784 well Transunion said that was C credit. Thought a score that high was A credit?

Where did you pull your TU score from?

Re: Transunion and FICO scores

If that's a true FICO score, I'd call 784 an A-. Functionally, it's a prime score...going all the way to 850 wouldn't significantly alter the credit options available to you, and would lower your rates on a mortgage by, oh, probably 0.2% or so.

Re: Transunion and FICO scores

I was under the impression that any score over 760, as long as you had the right reserves, job security, income, and debt to income ratio would net you the same interest rate.

Re: Transunion and FICO scores

784 is C credit if you are using the Vantage score scale.  I thought the only place to get your Vantage score was from Experian and its an Experian Vantage score.  I dont even know if your TU and EQ Vanatage score would be different.

Found some interesting into here:

That the way I see it too.  Its good to have a cushion beyond 760 so INQs and even a new account drop you bellow 760.  In the auto loan world most "Well Qualified Buyers" fall in the 720 to 730 range.

Re: Transunion and FICO scores

Experian's home-grown score is the PLUS score.

The Vantage score is the experiment by the combined credit bureaus to challenge FICO. It combines info from all three reports into one score. This is the one that the lawsuit is all about.

Re: Transunion and FICO scores

I will bet dollars to donuts that it's not a FICO score. That language sounds like FAKO language.
