Hello all,
I was told the my credit score from Credit Karma and Credit Seasme are "FAKO" scores, where can I order my "true" score? Thank You!
I would not say there is anything called a "true" credit score. Most lenders use the FICO score but FICO has numerous scoring models. An example of this is if you are app'ing for an auto loan, they will most likely pull an auto-enhanced score that will put more emphasis on your previous installment loan history.
The scores that are offered here are EX08, EQ08 (just transitioned from EQ04), and TU98. EQ04 was what lenders were using almost exclusively for mortgage applications, but FICO thought it was a good idea to transition from it to the 08 model.
With all that being said, your FICO scores are the closest to a "true score" you can get, but depending on the model shown, it may not match what a lender pulls.
Hello, there are too many different scoring modules for there to be a "true score" in my opinion, it can be very confusing. If i may suggest, just focus on what is on your credit report. I've also learned that a long positive history over time will eventually strengthen your score, and you will be well on your way!! Good luck to you!
