Trying understand scores

Hello1
I immigrated to the States 18 months ago.
I have
VISA BOFA CL 3000
MC   BOFA CL 10000
3 CHASE CARDS COMBAINED CL 7500
WALMART CARD CL 600
JC PENNEY CARD CL 150
AMEX CLEAR 2400
CITI CASHRETURNE MC CL 3900
PAYPAL LOC 700
2 MACY'S CARDS 3500
THE OLDEST ACCOUNT IS 16 MONTHS OLD, ABOUT 12 INQ ON EACH FILE. UTIL IS ABOUT 0.5%, AUTOLOAN PAID AS AGREED, EVEN FASTER, NO NEGATIVE ITEMS, ONE CARD REPORTED AS STOLEN WHICH IS TRUE.
WHAT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IS ACCORDING TO TRUECREDIT REPORT MY SCORES AS FOLLOW:
TU 658, EQ 641, EXP 675 AND CREDIT DEFINED AS FAIR. BUT WHAEN I PULLED CREDIT REPORT THROUGH AMEX SITE IT WAS IDENTICAL TO TC REPORT BUT SCORES WERE 728/728/724 RESPECTEVELY AND CREDIT DESCRIBED AS EXCELLENT. BOTH REPORTS PULLED AT APPROXIMATELY THE SAME TIME (5-8 DAYS APART)
I WOULD LOVE IF SOMEBODY EXPLAINED IT TO ME.
THANKS IN ADVANCE
IN VINO VERITAS.

Re: Trying understand scores

Pull the report and score from this site (Myfico). This will give actual FICO score. Then you can comapre and analyse.I made mistake like you did and wasted lot of money on other credit reports from other agencies.

Re: Trying understand scores

Welcome to America and the world of credit! It looks as though you are well on your way to establishing good credit and you seem to handle your cards well. My advice is to continue doing so and you should be fine. The scores at TC and Amex's Creditsecure are FAKO and lenders hardly ever consider these scores. The scores you should concern yourself with are FICOs and they along with all three of your reports can be purchased at this site. There can be huge differences in scores between FAKOs and FICOs and FAKOs (TC) and FAKO (Creditsecure). For more information on how credit scoring works and how to improve your score please read the credit scoring 101 thread.

IMO, you have enough CCs, let them age and increase the limits as you go. I wouldn't apply for any more new CCs. This will hurt your scores.
