My EQ report is down to two collection left. One unpaid (unwilling to delete), and the other I have a deletion letter for and waiting for it to fall off. The score is only 556 for EQ. What is the affect of one of the two collections being deleted, leaving only one collection account on my report score wise? Also yes, I do have some other baddies on my report. Late payments etc.
Can you give us more details about the two baddies that are there now? Are they collection accounts, or OC accounts? What's the DoFD? What's the DoLA?
Mirth,
Thanks for your response. The two baddies are; Afni collections DOLA is 08/01/2006 DOfd not sure when. The other is a unpaid CA DOLA is 05/2008. The one that is going to be deleted is AFNI.

Its extremely difficult to tell how much your score will jump. Regardless, the less baddies on your credit report the better it is obviously. The most important thing apart from anything else is paying your revolving and installment debt on time, keeping utilization under 7% for maximum effect and be conservative in regards to new credit accounts.
Can anyone else give me an idea of how much my score might increase?

You can find your DOFD on your online Equifax report. Don't expect much improvement if you have other baddies.

Actually I don't believe anyone can accurately predict what will happen. There are just too many variables. You'll know soon enough when it all works it's way through the system. Patience.
