UPDATE: How much should my credit score jump?

Scores before TU@659 Equifax @685

*********************************************UPDATE*******************************************************************

I got those two collections accounts off her Equifax report no other changes........She went from 685 to 805

Transunion went from 659 to 776

transunion still shows a Student loan that still has 62% owed.......Should update to paid in full next week and should bump score higher.

*******************************************END UPDATE****************************************************************

Transunion shows 2 collection accounts.  One placed 12/09 and one placed 09/2004.   Both last updated 2/2010.  Both Mistakes and will be removed by 4/15/10.

transunion shows a student loan that still has 62% owed..........This is paid off on 4/7/10.  Loan is now at 0%

Transunion shows 0% Ratio of your revolving balances to your credit limit

Trasunion Shows oldest account 11 Years, 8 Months with avg account being 7 Years, 12 Months.   Became a joint holder on a 10 yr account 4/1/10.  avg age should now be 9 yrs

Equifax shows2 collection accounts.  One placed 01/2009 and one placed 09/2004.  both last updated 2/2010.  Both Mistakes and will be removed by 4/15/10

Equifax shows 0% Ratio of your revolving balances to your credit limit

Equifax shows oldest account 11 Years, 8 Months with avg account being 8 Years, 4 Months   Became a joint holder on a 10 yr account 4/1/10.  avg age should now be 9 yrs

No accounts have missed payments or anything else bad.

So with the collection accounts being removed, student loan being paid off and becoming a user on a older credit card what should i expect my score to become?

IMO guesses are just about useless. Wait until everything posts and clears the systems and you will know for certain about any score change.

From a BK years ago to:
8/09 TU-765 EQ- 783
9/09 EX pulled by lender 802
3/10 EQ- 800

Re: How much should my credit score jump?

I have to agree with marinevietvet. It is way too difficult to try to guess what will happen with scores. FICO scores have so many moving parts.

Patience is the toughest part of building credit, but you've done great things that should give you a wonderful boost.

Re: How much should my credit score jump?

I just reliazed i used the wrong account to post this question.   I'm helping out my sister with her credit and loan and it should have been under her account.

I understood its a very complex scoring model.    She is in the process of relocating and buying a house.    She screwed up in not pulling her credit a few months ago but in her defense the relocation was sudden.

I know it is a waiting game.   We were were only trying to get a rough estimate.  a few points (5-10) won't make a big difference in buying a house.  however  20+ will open many more doors.

Again sorry about posting under then wrong name.  i forgot my computer had me logged in.   i was not trying to mislead anyone.

Re: How much should my credit score jump?

It really is impossible to know, but having all her collection accounts removed should help her by more than just 5-10 points. Part of the reason these things are so tough to guess is that it depends a lot on what is still left on the report, how old everything is, etc.

It's OK on the accounts. No one's going to be in a tizzy that you posted under another account.

Re: UPDATE: How much should my credit score jump?

Collectons on TU are gone.   Went from 659 to 776.  Smiley Very Happy

Tu still shows "The balances on your non-mortgage credit accounts are too high." as a negitve.  This loan is paid in full however has not updated.....hopefully we hit 790ish after the last update.

thanks to everyone for their help.
