Re: Score up 21 points!!!!

I hope it all works out and shoots back up :-)  I'm curious where you got the chart below.  Looks like a great tracking tool!  I can't figure out why my I've got a 742 and the others are below 700?  TU: 672 EQ: 742 EX: 686.  I've been working on getting above 700 for about 4 months...  patience grasshopper...  Good luck Megan!

Hi, buddhagirl, Megan's chart comes with the FICO EQ Scorewatch product. Scorewatch is also available directly from EQ, although I don't know if the chart comes with it too.

Have you applied for many CC's or loans that pull EX and TU scores? That would make them drop, while EQ wouldn't. Are your reports all the same?

If these are FICO scores, what do the reports list for your positives and negatives for each score? And if they're not FICO, then they're FAKO. It's hard figuring out FAKO's, because no one knows how they dream up their scores. (BTW, many people find that their FICO scores are higher than their FAKO's.)

Re: Score up 21 points!!!!

Hi Haulingthescoreup :-)  No, I haven't applied for CCs or loans, just 2 in the last 3 years.  I think I figured it out however.  I had a collections from 2004 that shows up on TU and EX but not on EQ.  This was from a traffic ticket that went unpaid for too long and I paid it after it went to collections.  I was thinking of writing GW letters to both the court and the collections agency, but think the chances are pretty slim...  If you have any suggestions for strong arguements to help substantiate a GW to either the court or CA, I would be most grateful.

I think I can get all 3 up above 700 by paying down my 2 CCs.  I have now set up auto pay to get the $8K balances down 90% in 9 months.  More patience is seemingly required... and less shopping ;-)  Thanks for the help!!  -buddhagirl
