Understanding Equifax "Score Power "Report

I pulled a credit report on 7/29 from Equifax and I do not understand some of the fields on the report.  Can someone please elaborate?:

Date Major Delinquency First Reported vs. Date of First Delinquency - I want to understaned the date the negative items will come off and which of these fields represents that number.

Date of First Delienquency: this shows the first date that i was late, however the account was caught up again (based on the payment history chart provided) so i suppose that is not really the 7-year start date.

Date major Delinquency First Reported: on one account, for instance, this field has a date of 2/2007 and in the payment history chart 2/2007 has a "90" listed indicating I was 90 days past due.

Should I even rely on the credit agencies to accurately report the delinquency dates?

Welcome to the forums!

You are correct, the DOFD is the date in which you were first late and never became current again, once you become current the DOFD ceases to exist.  A major delinquency is generally considered being 90+ days late, so in your case, that date is also correct.  That being said, the Date Major Delinquency First Reported is just something Equifax puts in its Score Power reports, it is completely unrelated to the Credit Reporting Time Period.

To answer your question, negative information falls off 7-7.5 years from the date of occurence.  In the case of open accounts and accounts closed as paid as agreed, each late payment will fall off when it is 7-7.5 years old.  In the case of accounts that are charged off, the entire account will fall off 7-7.5 years after the DOFD.
