I have also applied and opened 6 new accounts over the last 2 months and has dropped my scores by approx 50 points. So far 5 of them have already reported.

I'm scared to see my EQ FICO at the end of next month from DCU when my new cards are reporting.
hopefully I stay above 700 by a few pionts
luckily I hope not to really need anymore credit for at least a year or 2 so after gardening I hope to see my score back where it was before, hopefully a little higher
...and I'm in a similar situation.
I opened a LOT of accounts in 2011 and 2012...but haven't opened any since August of 12, and am watching my scores slowly, but steadily rise.
Is it August yet???
OP, if it hasn't been said already, the score you are seeing from Equifax Credit Complete is a FAKO and totally unrelated to a FICO score. Moreover, their advice you posted is geared towards that FAKO and doesn't necessarily apply to a FICO score. IMO, ignore the advice and ignore their FAKO. If you were to pull your EQ FICO on the same day you pull your FAKO you'll get totally different results.
