I've read that 9% or less is the percent to shoot for when trying to mazimize your score. is there any benefit to having a lower %? Like, will 3-5% get you a few more points over showing a 9% utilization?
YMMV. It depends on your credit. There are a few posters in here that micro-managed util and pulled their FICO reports over and over just to see if they could find that "sweet spot". For some, that sweet spot was 1%, others 5% and others above that. It's a YMMV-thing combined with the $$$$ balance amt.
Hum... I'm going to shoot for 5% and see what happens. Either way I'll gain points over where i am now. Current scores are with 21% reporting. Looking to maximize my scores for when I request a CLI in a few weeks.
Like what was said, everyone will be different. I gained points going from 9% to 2%. I played with different perentages and 2% seems to be my sweet spot.
