So I applied for the Capital One Venture One Rewards card through this website and got denied. I do not understand why.
Now I'm still trying to learn but when I login it says FICO SCORE 8 - Equifax 747, TransUnion 735, Experian 746. Then when you click the Score Versions Type FICO BANKCARD SCORE 8, it says Equifax 760, Transunion 756, and Experian 769. These scores are even higher.
So after getting upset I logged into my American Express account and thew show a Fico Score of 676 for Experian.
I do not understand why AMEX is saying 676 is my score but MYFICO website says my scores are much higher and I got denied on Capital One.
Please help.
If it matters, I have installment loans of 161K which is for 4 cars, and actually I just paid off 2 of them which should drop that number soon.
I really want to know how come AMEX has me at 676 for Experian
Is that an up to date score from AMEX?
What do you mean is it up to date? How would I find out? Do i need to call or is it something on the website for me to click on?
When you view your score on the Amex website it lists the date it is from, your score doesn't update daily with them
Oh , so I see, yes it says 676 score as of May 26th, 2018. I didn't notice that. So i just talked to someone and she said I have to call tomorrow to get someone to update the score because they are closed today. So I do have a $1,000 Amex Everyday Card that's how I am able to see these scores.
Do you think this is what's going on with Capital One even though I don't have an account with them?
My scores shot up over the last 30 days because I paid off all my cards.
my friend got 17 credit cards in the last 2 months and doesn't even have a 700 score, this makes no sense
No your old amex score has nothing to do with capital one.
Many times people have 700+ scores and still get denied, you will have to wait for denial letter and see what reasons they list.
Well anyway, so how do i prevent this from happening again because maybe capital one is seeing a score that is not updated some how?
Anyone know of a good card i should apply for that I'm pretty sure to get approved for with my scores?

People get denied every day with high scores it happens. Your score and account profile are looked at differently by each lender, what may seem like a perfect profile to one might not look as well to another. It's a business and you can't take it personally.
