WHAT THE HECK!! different sites, different scores for EX.

I went to the EX site today to see if any payments have been posted.  Although only 2 posted, I was excited to see my score jumped from 633 to 644 in just 3 days.

Then I went to TU and tried their 30 day free offer.  My credit report popped up, but not my score.  I am not sure what button I hit but I was taken to a payment page again and thought my payment didn't go through and opt in for the 3 in 1 report for a discounted price.  Next thing I knew, all 3 reports show up from TRUE CREDIT along with 3 scores.  Now this is where it really gets strange.  EX from TRUE CREDIT says my EX score is 605

My Fico EQ score is 677 but on TRUE CREDIT it took a slight decrease of 674

I have nothing to compare the TU score to, but it states 645.

Can anyone explain this to me.  I knew the 3 scores themselves could really vary, but the same EX report with a 39 point difference between the EX site and True Credit site?

Where do leaders look for your score?  From the real credit site?

fico scores can only be obtained through myfico (except for a equifax product). search fico vs fako scores and you'll get an answer to your question.

in short fako scores aren't worth the time it takes to look at them.

Re: WHAT THE HECK!! different sites, different scores for EX.

So you are saying the the True Credit score by Trans Union is a FAKO score?

Something else that is strange is that the Trans Union site shows a change took place today in a disput that I posted with EX AND a Credit Card that I applied for a couple of days ago was added ....again reported under EX but none of this is showing up from the direct link to the EX site.  that is really strange as well.  Why would the TU true credit site have it posted before the EX direct site?

true credit scores are fako.

one cra could care less what info the other has, or doesn't have. the reports update on thier own timetable as the information is relayed to car (or at least thier supposed to).

I am finding as I check my reports on TruCredit almost daily and on Equifax's Goldwatch almost daily that Experian is by far the fastest in getting updated information on the credit report.  TU is the slowest, usually 1 or 2 days behind the others.  But I have found TC informative for changes to my credit report as I am disputing and updating and working on getting my score up.

I love TC for the reports, to keep an eye on things. The score pages are very useful for lining bird cages and litter boxes.

Topshelf, the ONLY places that you will get classic FICO scores is from Equifax's website (EQ score only; and not EQ scores as reported by CreditSecure, TC, etc) and from myFICO. And if you want to do a bunch of hunting, you can find the quarterly monitoring service over on TU --it's the same as the one you get here. Plus some WaMu CC's give you your PFICO TU score, which is a version enhanced for credit card issuers.

If a score doesn't have the dorky gold seal on it, it's not a FICO.

* Credit is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master. * Who's the boss --you or your credit?
FICO's: EQ 781 - TU 793 - EX 779 (from PSECU) - Done credit hunting; having fun with credit gardening. - EQ 590 on 5/14/2007
