Weird AU Score/Report

I was added to my folks old Visa to get my utilization #s down.

$7k balance, $60k limit.

So it reports as $7k, Credit Limit is $0.

I guess I'll wait to see how it reports on TU/Efax which are the important ones, if it reports as $0 Limit (!) should I have my friend dispute and/or write a letter requesting that the correct Credit Limit be reported?

I got a whopping 8 point jump, after getting a whopping 1 point jump for the 37 year old perfect Amex AU.

Re: Weird AU Score/Report

After sept 2007 the 3 ra dont score au as they originally did in the past. as for your amex i am assuming it is a charge an not a credit card.. your limit is your high bal although will only report as 0 limit. Disputing the balance with amex will reduce your bal to current -if you wait they always report a month in rear

#1 that is not true, the Fico '08 did not apply as of 9/07 and will not apply anytime soon if at all.

#2 I don't mean the Amex, I mean a Visa Card AU, whose CL was $55k and is reporting as $0. The Amex is indeed reporting as high-balance.

Re: Weird AU Score/Report

If there is no CL reported on a revolving account- FICO will use the HIGH balance-

So if the HIGH balance was 10K and it has a 7K balance- it might hurt

Right, the problem is they don't report that either. So I'll assume that if no CL or High-Balance reported, all they can do is use current balance. I am going to see what happens when it updates to Efx/TU but if not can one simply ask/tell Efx/Exp/TU and/or the Creditor to please update CL? A $60k line helps a-lot.

Re: Weird AU Score/Report

Actually a 60K CL will be ignored in scoring-

Whachoo talkin' 'bout Willis????

Do you mean they don't add the $60l to your total CL when doing the utilization ratio?

If not I'd guess they don't use the balance either (how could they)?

If not does that what is the CL limit where they stop counting?

And finally, do you at least get points for the card/history?

Re: Weird AU Score/Report

Once the CL on a CC gets high (between $30-$40K), it either starts reporting as installment or it doesn't report at all.
