Well, I think its laughable....

I get how scores are always a moving target and in flux, different models look at different thngs but this made me laugh this morning.

My Ex Fico08 score here is 766.  On CCT, it is 750.  It states one factor that is 'keeping my score down' is that I have a short credit history.

"Your oldest account was opened 17 Years, 7 Months ago Average age of your accounts 8 Years, 6 Month"        ** Que laughter**

Now, I understood that opening new accounts would bring my AAoA down - but I figured 7/8 as an average was still pretty high!

LOL  - ah well, its not really an issue, just pretty funny.

How old is your newest account?

Sometimes they put that reason when you have new accounts. Yeah it doesn't make sense but that's what happen. It shouldn't show that reason if your newest account is older than 1 year AFAIK (maybe 6 months?)

Re: Well, I think its laughable....

How about "Your average credit card balance is too high" when the same report has all credit cards at $ZERO? I don't think credit card companies report negative balances as a negative balance. How do you get a balance below zero?

I did have a new account report.  I hope my score doesnt drop 22 points per new account.  I got new cards with better APR's and plan on tossing the old ones into the sco drawer for now.
