What count as different types of credit?

A portion of the FICO score is based on different types of credit, but what are the different types?  I noticed for example, when one of my cards changed from "Credit Card" to "Flexible Spending Credit Card," my score jumped 10 points, and everything else was the same.  Do store cards count as a different type too?

Re: What count as different types of credit?

...it generally refers to CCs, installment loans, and mortgage loans as the different types of credit ...a mix of all three is considered optimum but there are many with 800+ scores who are lacking one or more

...try not to focus on isolating a 10 point drop to a single item change in your CR ...especially as to "everything else staying the same" ...it rarely does ...accounts age, utilization changes, weighting tiers change, debt weighting changes, the "thickness" of your file changes, etc etc etc ...most are factors that are in the FICO scoring algorith and not in your CRA data file, changes you can't see by looking only at your CR ...myFico tells us that the average consumer score changes by up to 20 points a month even with no apparent external changes in the CR that is being scored.

...I've pretty much stopped replying to those who ask why their score dropped 10 points "because of" ...its rarely the real reason for the drop ...and of course, myFico exacerbates the drama by thowing in some computer generated "explanation" that makes no sense whatsoever. ...hth
