I checked my Transunion score on the first of February, and my Transunion score from my fico was 532. My transrick score was 545, and my vantage( from all 3 bureaus I think) was 555, Today, I just checked and there was a nice jump! My Transrick score is at 560 and my Vantage is at 584. I don't want to buy another score from myfico yet, but do you think it jumped too? By how many points?
I been working hard the last month to change these scores for the better. Removed four collections and four more to go.
I wouldn't waste your money pulling your report again just yet. Keep in mind that FAKO scores increases can have little if no effect on your actual FICO score. Actually, your FAKO score can increase while your FICO decreases, so don't pay any attention to those scores.
That being said, it's great you have removed those negative accounts, but until they are all gone, you aren't going to see much more of a boost. It usually doesn't matter much if you have 1 CO or 10. Until they are all gone, you will be in the same scoring bucket and won't see too much of a jump.
Thanks CDtotten,
Thats why I don't want to pull fico just yet, as two collections removed won't be updated until March 1, I PFD on those.
I agree. Your score now is what it is.
The important thing is not your daily, or even weekly, scores. The important thing is to know what steps to take to get real score improvements.
You seem to have a good understanding of the basics factors affecting your FICO score.
First, dont have any more lates, period!
Second, continue to try to eliminate old derog, particularly the major ones, such as 60+ day lates, charge-offs and collections.
Third, get your % util down, preferably as an intial goal to under 20%, and keep it down.
And finally, dont apply for new credit without a real need.
Taking those steps will assure FICO score improvements. Until such time as you actually apply for new credit, your FICO score is just a yardstick of incrementl improvement. The steps you take now lead to those improvements, so pulling FICO scores frequently is, in my opinion, not critical.
