What's your average age of accounts?

I find it almost impossible to get above five years. My file is constantly changing. I have no control over the fact that Sallie Mae opens a new account for each semester student loan and I have no control over the fact that important things come up quite often especially when you own a home and have a growth family.

Re: What's your average age of accounts?

Mine was over 6 years. Then I opened 3 new tradelines in the last 3 months so now it is less than 2 years. Oh well. That is by design. I figured the way to rebuild is to start a bunch of new tradelines and "garden" them well. I have no need for credit in the immediate to midterm .future so it is the perfect time to start tradelines. Once my oldest ages off in 2016 I will be left with what I started 3 months ago...

Re: What's your average age of accounts?

8 yrs on eq.

10 yrs on tu.

EQ has purged most of my closed account before 10 years mark lowering the overall AAoA.

Re: What's your average age of accounts?

Mine is 5 according to my fico. But missing two new accounts. I'd say 4.5 once these hit. Mine would ve a lot longer except 7 accounts I closed I didn't understand scoring. 4 autoloans. Ugh maybe they come off early!

My average is about 8-8.5 years. 2 new TL is about to hit, so I will be interested in seeing how much that drops.
