What score is the best to look at for credit card application?

I have a score of 775 for fico 9, a score of 732 for fico 8, and a score of 755 for VantageScore 3.0.

Because Chase gives me the Vantage score, does it mean that it's the most important score for new Chase credit card application?

Same for Amex and fico 8 ?

For other credit card applications, what's the best score?

I got the fico 9 score with Wells Fargo, is it only important when you apply for a credit card through Wells Fargo?

Re: What score is the best to look at for credit card application?

It depends on who you are applying to, what bureau(s) they pull, and what model they pull.  The Vantage scores are useless.  As you mentioned Amex above, the only score that matters is EX FICO 8.  The FICO 9 mentioned above depends on the creditors who use it such as Penfed (EQ FICO 9) and according to the US Bank rep that was recently in the forums, they now pull TU FICO 9 for credit cards.  There are others of course but I'm sure you get the point.  If you are planning on applying somewhere and want to know your score beforehand then just ask on the forums or do some quick searches on what model and bureau will most likely be pulled.

Nope, it just means Chase is cheap and they want to say that they provide their customers with a "credit score" while keeping their cost as low as possible for doing so.  Chase, the biggest bank in America, doesn't even provide their customers with industry-standard "chat" which is about all you need to know.

Last question. My scores are: fico 8 equifax: 732 (Costco), and fico 8 experian: 730 (Amex).

What's better, equifax or experian?

1. It doesn't work like that, there are 3 different credit bureaus, Experian, Transunion or Equifax. Some lenders pull 1 of the 3, some will pull 2 and some like CapOne will triple pull.

2. The score Citi Costco provides is not EQ FICO 8 (max 850), it's EQ FICO Bankcard 8 (max 900).
