When one point makes a difference...

There are times when we say that something will only be worth a couple of points but those points might be important. I'll take every one that I can get. Have you ever been one point away from being able to get a lower interest rate but couldn't do anything to get that point?

Re: When one point makes a difference...

No - But I was 2 points away from passing my driving road test when I was 16. The evaluator docked me 2 points on my final park because I was 15" away from the curb (max allowed is 12"). That dropped me below the acceptable threshold. I was rather bummed and unable to change the outcome. Had to wait 3 months before trying and passing the 2nd time.

Re: When one point makes a difference...

I don't think you have to worry about your scores missing anything by one point! Smiley Happy

I nailed my driving test on the first try. Driving school car was a Chevy Chevette. I left school early to do it then went back afterwards. Wouldn't have wanted to tell friends that I didn't pass.

12 inches vs 15 inches...

Did your driver instructor carry a ruler with him? A real analytical fellow!

I passed my test the first time out. My instructor asked me to parallel park against the curb, the scariest part when your 16 right? Well, there were no cars in front or behind me for the whole block. Yes!!!

Actually, yes in a way.

He whipped out his 12" go/no go clip board and placed it between the curb and tire to "prove his point deduction was valid". There was a 4 finger gap which was estimated to represent 3".
